The Rhode Island Board of Education and the Rhode Island Department of Education are thrilled to launch Rhode Island’s PK-12 strategic planning process, which will result in a statewide vision for education through 2020. The Rhode Island Council on Elementary and Secondary Education wants your input to direct our state's Strategic Plan for Education for the next five years. State Street is having another Walk to School Day on Friday, May 22, 2015! We will convene at the St. Pius Church parking lot at 8:40 a.m. and walk together as a group to State Street School! Let's hope for great weather!

Join us for our PTO sponsored Ice Cream Social and also celebrate the State Street School Shark's Birthday on June 2nd from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at State Street School! We will have basket raffles and also kick off for the Spring Book Fair! So bring your family in for a night of celebration! Happy Birthday Shark!
The PTO is sponsoring a Spring Book Fair! It's a BOGO event (buy one, get one) and will kick off on Tues, June 2, 2015 during the Ice Cream Social from 6:00-8:00 p.m! Come in for our celebration and peruse the assortment of great books that you can purchase to enhance your child's summer reading!
The Book Fair will also be held during school hours. See below for details:
Wed, June 3rd: 9:00-11:00 a.m. and 1:00-3:00 p.m.
Thurs, June 4th: 9:00-11:00 a.m. and 1:00-3:00 p.m.
Fri, June 5th: 9:00-11:00 a.m. for any students, staff, or parent who may have missed the other dates.
Be sure to plan on stopping by!!
Performances are as follows:
Grades K-1: 5:30-6:00 p.m.
Grade 2: 6:15-6:45 p.m.
Grades 3-4: 7:00-7:30 p.m.
**Students should arrive no sooner than 10 minutes before their performance time. After your child's performance, please allow incoming parents to take your seats for their child's performance, as space is limited.

On the last day of school, June 26, we will have our Fourth Grade Promotion Ceremony at 9:30 in the gym! We hope you and your family can attend your child's special day!
June 26th is the last day of school! Students will be dismissed at 12:00 and lunch will be served!
